In order to achieve the specific objectives of Freedoms Foundation's Mission Statement, programs sponsored by the Foundation's Education Department operate within the following framework:
Programs provide opportunities for participants to better comprehend responsible citizenship. These experiences foster the development of character, self-esteem and personal responsibility.
Programs emphasize both an awareness and better understanding of selected aspects of our country's national heritage. Participants realize that the spirit and vitality of America's past is kept alive today through each one of them, especially by visiting the sites where the United States history actually took place.
Programs encourage participants to commit to explore new options and basic principles relative to the institutions of a free society. Participants practice skills geared to make each an active citizen in their community. They learn to make their voices heard and to respect the viewpoints of others.
Programs promote understanding of the dynamics of the free enterprise system. Participants learn the essentials of making such an economic system function smoothly and fairly.
